Susan Bruns Rowe writes and teaches in Boise, Idaho. Her writing has appeared in Creative Nonfiction, the Brevity blog, Penny, and the American Oxonian, and she serves on the editorial staff for Literary Mama, an online literary magazine. Her short story “Journeyman” was a finalist for the 2017 Montana Book Festival’s emerging writers contest, and she has received grants from the Alexa Rose Foundation and the Idaho Commission on the Arts. As a teaching writer, Susan leads workshops for The Cabin, The Osher Institute at Boise State University, and an annual writers’ retreat in the Sawtooth Mountains. She recently finished a manuscript of short stories based on the lives of her immigrant grandparents.
