Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, Kendra grew up training in classical ballet, modern, improvisation, and composition at Ballet Idaho, Balance Dance Company, and Eagle Performing Arts Center under Lydia Sakolsky-Basquill, Lauren Edson, and Jeff and Cathy Giese. Separate from year-round training, Kendra studied at Northwest Dance Project’s Summer Dance Intensive in 2015 and 2017, and participated in workshops by Ching Ching Wong and Yin Yue. In Boise, she has performed with Idaho Regional Ballet and Project Flux. Having graduated from Boise High School in 2018 with honors, Kendra moved to New York to attend Columbia University. In her time in New York, she has performed original works by David Dorfman and Amy Hall Garner at New York Live Arts, and has studied under Ashley Tuttle, Antonio Carmena, Marjorie Folkman, Jennifer Archibald, and Yin Yue. Kendra anticipates a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia double majoring in dance and neuroscience.
