Josh Udesen is an observant passerby for all things under an open sky. Primarily self-taught, his art is simply a reflection of what he loves to do, how he sees the world & the places spends time. Between his youth in the woods, a decade as a river guide & a global wanderlust, much inspires his art. As he developed his art he discovered much of what he saw translated into a genre others seemed to appreciate & enjoy.
Josh has a well-established reputation and clientele among outdoor enthusiasts, conservation organizations & Idahoans. Organizations & companies such as Patagonia, Montana Fly Company, Trout Unlimited & the Idaho Conservation League have used his art.
Although his art career is growing, he is currently in his 22nd year as a high school history & comparative religions teacher. He lives in Boise, Idaho, often explores the Idaho backcountry, teaches his 10-year-old daughter the benefits of sleeping under the stars & occasionally wets a line in search of trout & steelhead.
