If you would have told Jessica ten years ago that she would be spending her days making masks and puppets she would have thought you were crazy. As a Registered Nurse for St. Luke’s this work seemed entirely out of her wheel-house. Six years ago Jessica was introduced into the weird world of puppetry and become instantly obsessed. She is now most at home in her shop, covered in clay and plaster. Entirely self-taught Jessica specializes in sculpting, molding, and casting puppets and masks. Recent design opportunities include HomeGrown Theatre’s Productions of Mr. Burns, a Post Electric Play, and The (7th Annual!) Horrific Puppet Affair as well as Alley Repertory Theater’s production of Jodi Sings Judy. You can look forward to seeing her work next on stage with Boise Contemporary Theater’s production of Rabbit Moon.
