Emily Bender is a filmmaker, editor and writer from Boise, Idaho. Her first film, Half Full which won the Best Documentary Short Award at the Portland Women’s Film Festival. She has contributed to dozens of video pieces on MTV, VH1, PBS and several award-winning documentary films. She writes about the effects of loneliness and isolation and potential solutions to this epidemic on her blog, Say Hello to Strangers. You can often find her hiking or biking in the Boise foothills or enjoying a book at her second home, the local library.
