Amy was born and raised in Boise and has a deep love for her home state of Idaho. She has studied art at Arizona State University, University of Idaho as well as abroad in Torino Italy and completed her BFA from Boise State University. Her sculpture, works on paper and kiln-formed glass have been exhibited in galleries and museums including Idaho Triennials at Boise Art Museum, The Bullseye Gallery in Portland Oregon and The New Mexico Museum of Contemporary Art in Sante Fe. Her studio work and public art commissions are in many private and public collections such as City of Boise, Boise Art Museum, University of Nebraska, Boise State University, St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Centers and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. She has been the recipient of numerous grants and artist residencies and has been nominated for several awards; including Boise City Mayors Award for Excellence in the Arts, the Northwest Contemporary Art Award and the Louise Comfort Tiffany Biennial Award.
