Forever in pursuit of the rare, unusual and beautiful. Aspiring gemologist, rock hound, jewelry designer and jeweler. I have a passion for the outdoors, whitewater kayaking, research, reading, knowledge and looking for beautiful stones. I moved to McCall, Idaho 3 years ago on a close friend’s advice without ever having seen the place and it was one of the best things I have ever done. I moved here mainly to kayak the plethora of rivers in the state but have since discovered that I have not done nearly as much rock hounding or exploring as I would like to. I have a B.A. in anthropology and archaeolgy with a focus on Latin American studies from Kent State University. I have had a variety of jobs throughout my adult hood including working the “slime line” on a commercial fishing boat in the Bering Sea, tree farmer, judicial assistant, raft guide and professional photographer. I am currently pursuing a newfound dream of becoming a gemologist, silversmith and jewelry business owner.
